Hi,

Well, sorry this is not as updated as often as I originally thought it would be! Where does the time go?

My last entry was way back in february as I was getting ready to start childminding and now I have been minding for 5 months and  I have 5 children on my books! Three are regulars and two are school-aged children here for the holidays.  I have enjoyed setting the business up and I have been very lucky to have lovely children to care for.

My house looks more like a nursery every day! But I love the pictures that the children make, they really brighten the place up. We have even started displaying them outside! Although the wind & rain tend to unstick them! A teacher from Ermine Infant School kindly gave us some tomato plants that they had started to grow so the children are looking after them & waiting to taste home grown tomatos. I intend to do more of this next year, growing our own vegetables and flowers. My son is preparing an area of the garden for this.

In September I am expecting to start a school run to Mount Street school which means a good walk twice a day so hopefully helping to shed some lbs!

Also in September the EYFS comes into force. I have been working from the EYFS since March so nothing will really change for us.

Childminder's Diary

Topic: 3 weeks to go...

 This is my first ever blog!!!

So, please forgive me if I make mistakes. I am learning as I go along.

I have started this blog with good intentions of keeping a childminding diary. At the moment I am still in the process of preparing everything. My registration certificate was issued on 21 January 2008 and is displayed proudly in my hall  I am now waiting for my NCMA starter pack to arrive so that I can get the paperwork side sorted out, inparticular the liability insurance.

I handed in my notice at work 2 weeks ago and I leave on 29 February 2008

I have one definate mindee lined up, my grandaughter who will be with me for 2 & 1/2 days a week, she is due to start on March 3 so hurry up NCMA!!!!

I also have a parent who is keen for me to have her young twins so things are looking positive
